Animal Habitats

An Animal habitat is an environment where animals live and how they interact with that environment.

As you might have observed, animals have different species, some big, some small, some very funny looking and some just plain right scary.

These animals live in different environments mainly because of their different characteristics and needs.

Human beings may choose to live in a certain area due to certain needs like; how close it is to their school or office. This can be said of animals too, they choose where they live due to their own needs.

The needs of an animal are usually shelter, food and protection from predators. If an animal can find an environment that provides these things it takes up that place as its habitat.
