Mesozoic Era

What is the Mesozoic era?

The term Mesozoic was coined by John Phillips, an English Geologist who published the first global geologic time scale based on the correlation of fossils in rock strata, in 1840. In the geologic time scale, the Mesozoic Era lasted about 180 million years, from about 245 million years ago to about 65 million years ago.
