States of Matter

Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. From the definition it means matter is everything around us. Atoms are present in all physical objects.

Matter exists in various forms, the most common studied are Solids, Liquids and Gas. These forms can change from one state to another when they are heated or cooled.
