The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest walls as well as sights in the world. It is located in Northern China and regarded as the longest wall in the world with a length of 21,196.18 kilometers, an awe-inspiring feat of ancient defensive architecture.

It is known in Chinese as 长城 which is pronounced as Chángchéng or channg-chnng. It is further translated as ‘long wall’. According to historians and researchers, the Great Wall of China has been in existence for more than 2,300 years.
