Uses of Artificial Satellites

Weather Satellites:

Used to give signals for daily/monthly weather readings. They measure temperature and rainfall. They also take pictures of clouds.

Communication Satellite:

Used for Television, Radio, phone and internet transmissions.

Space Observation:

they take pictures of other planets, stars, asteroids etc in space and also document any new phenomena.

Earth Observation:

They are used to take images of the earth and observe the earth and its movements.

Navigation:

Used to locate geographic positions. A lot of vehicles, aircrafts and vessels receive information from these types of satellites to determine their geographical locations.
