Ethnicity and National Development in Ghana

Ethnicity is a term that refers to the fact that a person belongs to a particular group of people. A group of people who are related to one another and have common cultural traditions and customs is called an ethnic group. Usually, they speak the same language, eat a particular type of food, dress in a particular way and also do the same cultural practices.

Examples of ethnic groups in Ghana are the Akan, Ga-Adangbe, Ewe, Gonja, Dagomba, Mamprusi,Sissala and others.
