Investigating the Change of State of Matter

The change of state of matter takes place when there is heat gain or loss from a substance. This heat gain or loss affects only the state of matter, however, the composition of matter is still the same irrespective of the process it undergoes.

There are various processes in the change of the state of matter. These include; melting, evaporation, condensation, freezing and sublimation
