Problems Associated with Adolescence
Adolescence is a very adventurous period. This period of transition into adulthood comes with so many risks as the adolescent is exposed to new behaviour and perceptions from peers. Adolescence exercise their independence by breaking rules and engaging in immoral acts
Below are some of the problems
Adolescents must seek counseling from a responsible adult, parent or guardian on the best way to deal with challenges they face
Adolescents must also share and discuss their problems with well-meaning friends and siblings
Teenagers are also advised to dress and behave in a modest manner.
Adolescents must stand up for their personal rights, express their thoughts, feelings in honest and appropriate ways e.g. they must be bold and confident to say ‘NO’ to premarital sex and drug abuse
