Types of Earthquakes

There are 3 different types of Earthquakes. They are differentiated through the type of plate movement within the Earth’s crust. They are;

Transform Fault

In this type of earthquake the plates slip by each other.

Convergent Boundary

With this type of Earthquake one plate moves over another plate.

Divergent Boundary

This type of earthquake has plates ripping apart from each other. They are common in Ocean floors.
