Count Nouns
These are people, things, places or ideas which can be counted. They can be singular (just one) or plural (more than one). Count nouns can also be called ‘countable’ nouns.
For most countable nouns, we add an ‘s’ to the end to form the plural form.
Example;
To form the plural of Key, we add an ‘s’ to form keys
For some other countable nouns, we form the plural by adding ‘es’ to the end of the word.
Example;
To form the plural of box, we add ‘es’ to form boxes
Other countable nouns have their plurals formed by adding ‘ies’ to the end of the word.
Example;
To form the plural of country, we take away the ‘y’ and add ‘ies’ to the end of the word.
