Ways of keeping liquids and solids hot or cold

Mascot: We can make liquids or solids hot or cold, but how do we keep them that way?

When tea or coffee is made, we sometimes don’t drink it straight away. In order to keep it still hot the tea can be poured into a flask which keeps it warm for a long period.

When we chill drinks we still need them to be cold if we want to take them for a picnic or to the beach. An ice chest can be used to keep these drinks cold for a long period. Usually ice cubes or blocks are kept in these ice chests to help keep the drinks cold as well.
