Formation of eclipse
Eclipse is when light from the sun to earth is prevented. The moon is a non-luminous body; they do not produce their own light, they reflect light from the sun. The shape of a moon appears to change as it orbits the earth. Different shapes of moon are known as the phases of moon. When half of a moon is seen, it means half of the moon is lit by the sun.
There are two types of eclipse they are;
a) Eclipse of the sun (solar eclipse)
b) Eclipse of the moon (lunar eclipse)
