Physical change

This happens without a change in the chemical composition of a substance.

Example 1. A typical example is when you mix salt and water. The salt will dissolve in the water but the mixture can be easily separated. This makes it a physical change.

Example 2: Boiled water which is warm can be made cold by putting it down for a few minutes.

Example 3: Melting of candles; a melted candle obtained after the candle is burnt.

When you study the examples above, you will observe that all the changes can return to their original form. This makes physical change reversible. No new substances were formed.
