Biogas

This is a gas obtained from plant and animal waste. It is produced by anaerobic fermentation of organic waste.

This fermentation is due to the absence of air. Bacteria breaks down the organic waste.

Uses of biogas

1. Used in homes for cooking.

2. Used to generate power to run machines.
