Types of Parasites

There are two types of parasites. They are:

Ecto parasites

These are parasites that live outside the body of its host.

They are found on the skin of the host.

Examples are:

i. Lice

ii. Flea

iii. Ticks

iv. Mites

Endo parasites

These are parasites that live inside the body of its host.

They live in the tissues and organs of the host.

Examples are:

i.Roundworm

ii. Liver

iii. Fluke

iv. Tape worm

v. Plasmodium

vi. Hook worm
