Types of Fertilizers

There are two (2) types of fertilizers. Namely: organic fertilizers and Inorganic fertilizers

Organic fertilizers

They are fertilizers obtained from plants and animal sources. They are natural and therefore not made artificially in chemical industries. Examples are compost, green manure, farm animal droppings, fish meal, human excreta etc.

Inorganic fertilizers

They are fertilizers or chemical substances synthesized from inorganic substances by using chemical procedures or processes. Examples are NPK, Urea, Sulphate of ammonia, Muriate of Potash.
