Sub-Metro District Councils

Sub –metropolitans are created to make management and development of the metropolitan areas easier and effective.

Thus, sub-metro are smaller units that are created within a metropolitan assembly.

Example, Accra Metropolitan Assembly is made up of six (6) sub-metropolitans namely Ablekuma, Ayawaso, Keteke, Okaikwei, Kpeshie and Osu Klottey.
