Our Currency; (The Cedi and Pesewa)

Before the coming of the Europeans, cowries were used as money and then the Europeans' currency (i.e. pounds, shillings) were used.

We have been using the cedi and pesewa since 1964.

The highest denomination is the GHC 50.00 and the lowest denomination is 1 pesewa.
