Measurement of Area and Volume of Regular Plane Figures and Objects
Plane figures are objects or surfaces with regular shapes that can easily be measured. Such objects or surfaces include squares, triangles, rectangles and circles.
Simple instruments can be used to measure their lengths, breadths and heights. They may be in millimeters, centimeters, meters or kilometers. Examples of these instruments are ruler and tape measure.
With these measurements obtained, simple calculations can be used to deduce the area and volume of the objects or surfaces involved.
