Feeding In Animals

Feeding in animals is also known as heterotrophic feeding because animals cannot prepare their own food.

Animals obtain food from plants through eating it directly or indirectly (by feeding on other animals who feed solely on plants). This is what is known as Heterotrophic feeding.

There are various animals in our community which undergo this type of feeding. They are cat, goat, rabbit, chicken, dog among others.
