Demonstrative Pronouns
There are four demonstrative pronouns this, these, that and those. They are used to identify things or persons.
This/These are used when talking about things that are so close you can touch them.
That/Those are used for things that are not so close to the person speaking.
These/Those are used when talking about more than one item.
This is my favorite cup. (When you are talking about one cup that is close to the speaker )
That is my favorite cup. (When you are talking about one cup that is far from the speaker)
