Hard and Soft Water

Water can be categorized into two main types. They are hard and soft water. They are grouped based on their response to soap.

The various sources of water can be grouped into these types. Below is an activity performed for five (5) sources of water.

They are river water, rain water, borehole water, pipe borne water and sea water. This activity is done in order to group them into hard and soft water. We will compare their lathering abilities.
