Sources of Light

There are two main sources of light. These are;

Natural Source:

These are bodies or objects that produce light without man’s help or intervention. These bodies are not created by man. Examples are the sun, moon, stars, fireflies, aurorae and noctilucent clouds.


Artificial Sources:

These are objects manufactured by man to produce light. These include objects that rely on electricity, heat and chemical reaction. Examples are fluorescent tubes, neon lights, candles, electric bulbs, lasers, gas lamps and fire.
