Types of Drones
GPS Drones
This is a type of drone that relies on GPS signals to determine where it can go. Once a programmed path is set a GPS drone can return to its point of launch in case it runs out of battery power or it becomes faulty.
Quadrocopter/Quadcopter
These are drones with Four (4) propellers or rotors. The propellers are positioned in a square pattern and are at each corner of the drone. The position of these propellers helps to launch the drone evenly off the ground.
Ready-to-Fly Drones
They are known simply as RTF drones. These drones as the name suggest are ready to fly for you straight after buying it and removing from their boxes. Other drones have to be assembled together and also programmed but RTF drones save you all that hassle.
Helicopter Drones
These are basically smaller versions of helicopters which are remote controlled. They are good for staying in the sky for a long period of time.
Delivery Drones
These types of drones are meant to deliver packages or cargo to people. They are larger in size and have carriage like features that can carry packages. Many companies have started using these drones to deliver products that
Racing Drones
These Drones are built for racing purposes, which is a rapidly rising hobby. They are very quick and designed to withstand strong windy conditions from displacing their course. Drone racers usually wear goggles which streams videos of the path the drone is taking.
