Present Continuous
This verb tense is used to show that something is in the process of happening or will happen in the near future. It is formed by adding
the present tense of the verb be (am, is, are) before the main verb and
‘ing’ to the end of the main verb.
Example;
Example: They are waiting at the airport.
Just like the simple present, present continuous statements can also be negative. Let us look at a few examples.
