Space Exploration
Space exploration is the research into extra-terrestrial events by scientists and the ongoing discovery and exploration of celestial structures in outer space by means of continuously evolving and growing space technology.
Space study has been in existence for centuries, especially with the invention of telescopes to view space objects in the early centuries.
Scientists like Galileo, Sir Isaac Newton, Johannes Kepler, Giordano Bruno among others did not have the requisite technology to further their studies on space, limiting them to only theories.
With the invention of technology from the 19th century till now, space exploration programs have been made easier with the American astronaut Neil Armstrong landing on the moon on July 21, 1969.
This became a giant step into space exploration and the breakthrough for technology and its subsequent advancement and inventions such as Space Shuttle Programs.
Series of space explorations carried out by mankind in the recent years has led to the discoveries of planets, galaxies, moons, comets and asteroids
