PNP transistor
This is a type of semiconductors transistor with two junctions but with the N type semiconductor in the middle known as the base and P type at the left known as collector and another P type of the right known as emitter.
PNP transistors also work on the same direction.
Emitter → Base → Collector
With the PNP transistors, the voltage of the base must be more negative than that of the emitter. The voltage of the collector must also be more negative than the base.
The emitter supplies positives charges known as holes. The base pulls the holes (positive charges) from the emitter because the base is more negative than the emitter and the collector also pulls the holes (positive charges) from the base to the collector because it is more negatively charged.
NB: The voltages are supplied by a source of emf.
