NPN Transistor

Emitter, base and collector are the three semi-conductors that make up the transistor. The NPN transistor is also made up of these semi-conductors.

The NPN transistor is made up of two outer n-type semiconductors with a thin piece of p-type semiconductor sandwiched between the two n-type semiconductors.
