Mapping our Environment

Mapping our environment is a broad idea of how we identify various places in the world. Cardinal points and angular bearings are tools used for showing direction.

The Four Cardinal Points

These are the principal points of the compass. The directions are East, West, North and South. A compass is an instrument used to show directions. It has a needle which always points to the North when at rest.
