Landmarks and Conventional Signs

Settlements symbols, drainage symbols, functional symbols, route symbols, relief symbols among others, are some groups of conventional symbols.

Vegetation symbols: These are usually represented on a map with a green colour

Route symbols: These are all forms of transport lines.

Colour symbols: These are used to show variety of features. On maps, the blue colour represents water bodies or drainage. The green colour represents vegetation and lowlands.
