Temperature
When a cold object receives heat energy from a hotter object, the level or degree of hotness in the cold object rises so that it also becomes hot.
Its level of hotness can continue to increase as far as it also continues to receive heat from the hotter object. The level or degree of hotness or coldness of an object is what is termed as temperature.
The temperature of an object tells us how hot or cold that object is. We can measure the temperature of an object using an instrument called the thermometer. Temperature can be measured in any of the following. Units: degree Celsius (°C), degree Kelvin (°K) or degree Fahrenheit (°F).
