Causes of Rural-Urban Migration

People move from the rural areas to the urban centers for the following reasons.

i. For employment opportunities

ii. Lack of social amenities in the rural areas

iii. Pursuit of Education

iv. Low prices for agricultural product hence making low incomes.

v. Desire to be free from Traditional control.
