Marriage ceremony

In most ethnic groups, the processes of marriage ceremonies are almost the same. It starts with the man’s family going to ask for the woman to be given to their son to marry.

The man is expected to pay the bride price after both families of the man and woman have agreed to the union.

A day is fixed for the marriage ceremony where the man presents money, drinks, clothing and other things as the bride price to the woman and her family.

When this is done, the marriage is selected and the man takes the woman to live together as a married couple.
