The Beginning

The evolutionary history of humans as animals begun in the Paleozoic era, more specifically the Cambrian period which is about 570 million years ago. During this era, animals were very small in size and also soft. These animals lived in water and had no back bones (i.e. they were invertebrates). The vertebrates (animals with back bone) an example being fish, arose soon after the invertebrates.
