The Environment

The Environment consists of the things surrounding us. These things are either living or non-living things. Examples are air, water, land, living organisms, buildings etc.


OR


The Environment generally refers to visible or invisible things that surround an individual or a population. These “Things” are either biotic or a-biotic.

Biotic – Objects which have life and can survive on their own (example Plants, animals, bacteria)

Abiotic – These are non living objects in the environment (eg. Water, light, temperature)


OR


The environment is made up of the whole set of natural or physical to man-made or socio – cultural system in which man and other living things / non-living things.
