Potential Difference (V)
It is the work done when an electric charge is moved from one point to another. Potential difference is sometimes referred to as voltage.
Its unit of measurement is the Volt (V). The instrument used for measuring potential difference is the voltmeter.
A common torch light battery provides 1.5V, a car battery usually provides 12V, and whiles electricity in our homes, schools, office, hospitals etc. provides 240V.
