Ways of Conserving Electricity Energy

Electricity is very precious and should not be wasted. It is also expensive to produce.

i. Switching off electrical appliances when not in use. For example turning OFF lights in rooms when nobody is in the room.

ii. Choosing electrical appliances which use less energy. We should use energy efficient appliances.

iii. Replacing old electrical appliances with modern efficient ones.

iv. Using electrical appliances judiciously to avoid wastage of power. For example, when heating water, we should heat only the water we will need, we should also iron our clothes in bulk.

v. Industries should ensure that their electrical machinery is regularly serviced.
