Larvae (Wigglers)

At this stage, it is able to feed on micro-organisms in the water and also come to the surface of the water to breathe. The larvae shed their skin four times as they grow and they turn into pupae during their last (fourth) skin shedding. They develop wings and legs at this stage. The larvae take 2 to 14 days to develop into pupae.
