Demonstrate the Magnetic Field of a Bar Magnet
A bar magnet is placed on a table and then fully covered with a sheet of paper. Iron fillings are sprinkled on the paper above the magnet and the paper is taped.
Observation:
It will be seen that the iron fillings create a pattern on the paper. The pattern is sketched and recorded.
Discussion:
The pattern the iron fillings made shows the areas where the magnetic field of the magnet can be found.
Conclusion:
Every magnet has magnetic field where force or influence can be felt but it is not visible to the eye.
