We have spoken a lot about science within this topic. We want to look into technology now.

Science helps us to broaden our understanding of our natural world. It has made life comfortable. Scientific knowledge which is obtained from scientific method has made life comfortable. This scientific method has resulted in the use of technology.

Technology is the practical use of scientific knowledge to provide goods and services. Examples;

• We are able to communicate to people all over the world through mobile phones and internet.

• Improved health through improved medical treatment.

• Improved defence through defensive weapons for protection

• Improved education through internet or computerized system of learning

Technology is applied scientific knowledge. The persons who apply scientific method to obtain solutions or solve problems are called technologists.
