Measuring time

Time is measured with a stop watch or clock. The SI unit of time is second (s).

Activity: using watches or stop clocks to measure time

Aim: to use watch or stop clock to measure time

Materials: watch, ink, water, cup, beaker, droplet.

Method:

• Pour a cup of water into a beaker

• Use a droplet to drop an ink into the water

• Determine the time it takes the ink to spread evenly in the water.
