Nature of soil

Soil is the superficial particles of the earth crust.

Soil is made up by breaking down of rocks. They are made of different components such as;

Microbe: They help to break down dead matter in the soil.

Minerals: These help support plant growth

Air space: The supply of air to the roots passes through these spaces known as pores.

Water: Soil contains water which the root of plants take up and distribute to its parts.
