A citizen is a member of a country through birth, adoption, honorary conferment or naturalization, etc.

  1. In Ghana, one can become a citizen by birth anywhere around the country

  2. When a child less than 16 years is also adopted by a Ghanaian, the child becomes a Ghanaian

  3. When one naturalizes by registering as a Ghanaian, he/she becomes a Ghanaian

  4. The president of Ghana can confer Ghanaian citizenship on someone who is being appreciated for contributing to the progress or development of the country
