Rights and Responsibilities
Rights are the freedoms and advantages that one enjoys under the constitution
Responsibilities are the duties that someone is subject to perform and is accountable for
Legal rights: These are lawfully guaranteed powers which help an individual win a court decision
Political rights: These rights help protect an individual’s freedom from being intimidated by government and other private and social organizations e.g. legal remedy rights petition
Social and economic rights are those that help a person afford conditions under which basic needs are met
