Electrostatic Force

It is the force that exists between electric charges on stationary charged bodies. Example, a plastic comb vigorously rubbed through the hair several times.

The plastic comb becomes electrically charged after it has been passed several times through the hair. The charged plastic comb now possess a force called electrostatic force.

The charged plastic comb attracts pieces of paper even though there is no contact between the charged plastic comb and the pieces of paper.
