Reptiles

The ocean serves as a home for some reptiles; the marine turtles, the sea snakes and a marine Lizard which is found in the Galapagos Islands. Most of the crocodiles also live in coastal waters instead of the deep seas. Marine turtles are usually found in tropical waters. Some feed on jellyfish or even fish. Sea turtles come out to the sandy shores to lay eggs at specific nesting sites. This, in fact, serves as tourist attraction on areas in Ghana. Sea snakes also usually school in numbers and feed on small fishes which they kill by injecting venom into them through their fangs. They are extremely poisonous although not very aggressive.
