I. Calculate the velocity ratio of an inclined plane of length 15mif it is 5m above the ground.

SOLUTION

Velocity ratio = Effort distance / Load distance

           = 15m / 5m

           = 3

1. Calculate the velocity ratio of an inclined plane of 10m, if the height from the ground is 2m.

SOLUTION

Velocity ratio = Effort distance / Load distance

           = 10m / 2m
           = 5
