SOLUTION

Work done = force X displacement

      = 10N x 2m

      = 20J

1. The work done in lifting a load through a distance of 5m was 150J. Calculate the force

SOLUTION

Work done = 150J

Distance = 5m

Force =?

Work done = force x distance

W = f x d

Make F the subject

W/d = f/d

F = w/d

F = 150J /5J

F = 30N
