Highlands

Places ranging between 300-600 metres above sea level are classified as highlands in Ghana. Mount Afadjato which is the highest point in Ghana is 872 metres above sea level.

Other prominent highlands include:

  1. Akwapim - Togo range
  2. Gambaga Scarp
  3. Kwahu - Mampong-Koforidua Ridge
  4. Bole - Wa Lawra hills
  5. Zabzugu hills

From the above examples, it can be seen that highlands include mountains, ridges, plateau and hills.
