The National Anthem

It was composed by Philip Gbeho and it is usually sung at national and international functions as well as school parades and Independence Day celebrations.

This is done to show respect and also sends the ideas, feelings and goals of unity among Ghanaians.

And make our Nation great and strong

Bold to defend forever

The cause of freedom and of right;

Fill our hearts with true humility,

Make us cherish, fearless, honesty,

And help us to resist oppressors rule

With all our will and might forever more
